Winter Writing Group
Work on your writing in a collaborative space every Wednesday during Winter quarter.
When: Wednesdays, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Where: Hybrid
What: This a collaborative work group meant to act as a designated space to work on your writing and to give and receive feedback with peers. Whether you're working on a grant proposal, a manuscript, or a book these meetings are open to anyone needing space to write and open to working with others.
Note that you will not be required to share your writing if you would prefer to use these meetings for accountability rather than collaboration, but if you would like feedback on your writing please be prepared to offer the same to others in the group.
Skillz & Chillz
Join us once a month to learn useful tips & tricks of the trade from your fellow grads. The topic will vary each meeting.
Next Topic: Make the computer do the boring stuff: citation magic with Zotero.

What: Spending too much time organizing and formatting your citations? Still organizing your literature on your desktop? Come hang out in a low-stakes, casual setting to learn how to organize your literature faster. Our speaker will be Dead Elk's very own - Keenan Ganz!
Climbing Group
Climbing is better with friends!

Where: Crags Climbing Center (at the IMA)
What: Get away from your desk for a much needed mental and physical recharge. Whether you enjoy bouldering, top rope, or don't know what the heck those terms mean but feel like trying it out - this group is for you! All skill levels and styles welcome.
2024 Fall Grad Retreat
Join us for a weekend of fun at Pack Forest!

What: Food, drinks, games, hikes, and more! This will be the perfect opportunity to take a break from the stressful quarter and get to know your fellow SEFS grads.
